Adapting Your Business to a Fragmented World

From Trumponomics in the US and Brexitnomics in the UK to Putinomics in Russia and now Kurzonomics in Austria, the move to economic nationalism and deglobalization is gathering momentum. To understand what these challenges will mean for IT systems and digital business, we conducted a survey in the fall of 2016 with more than 400 CIOs and CTOs around the world, followed by in-depth interviews with senior executives and digital experts. Our research revealed that executives had serious worries about the potential for deglobalization to disrupt their digital plans, impede their cross-border business, and raise their operational costs.
