Janet Gleason is a senior analyst at Econsult Solutions, Inc (ESI). She brings to ESI a background in data visualization, cartographic design, and spatial analysis, as well as qualitative skills in urban economic development and social equity issues.
Prior to joining ESI, Ms. Gleason worked as a Multifamily Asset Management Coordinator at BLVD Capital. She researched and developed guidance on various local rental relief funds and social service programs and acted as a Salesforce admin, handling the platform’s data architecture and platform design. Additionally, she analyzed portfolio-wide property data to extract various performance indicators.
Ms. Gleason also interned as a research assistant at the Center for Peace and Security Studies where she was a part of an international relations research group within the Global School of Policy and Strategy. She helped prepare, clean, and manipulate large datasets using R and excel. Ms. Gleason has interned as a research assistant with USCD Urban Planning Department. She participated in an interdisciplinary analysis of a city funded Homeless Services Program. For this project she conducted ethnographic interviews with unhoused individuals and created data visualizations in R and excel to clearly communicate findings. Ms. Gleason has also interned as a City Council Intern in San Diego’s Third District. She helped create legislative memos and tracked the progression of agenda items and provided excellent constituent services and social service way-finding.
