Prior to joining ESI, Joyce Liu, worked at Agritecture as a research and design intern on urban agriculture. She helped develop a digital product by synthesizing user interviews, creating journey maps and catalog features. She also filmed and edited online education materials. Joyce Liu has worked as a research fellow at the Good Food Institute, conducting data auditing for its alternative protein industry knowledge. She also served as a volunteer consultant at the Mmanze Center for Rural Development and Training in Uganda, collaborating with field staff to design a sustainable fish farming project and producing a 50-page research report from planning to recommendations on execution.
