Laura Burtner is the Design Services Manager at Econsult Solutions, Inc. (ESI), where she supports the business development team. In addition to assisting with proposals, Laura is responsible for enhancing ESI’s brand and work through print and online media.
Ms. Burtner spent over ten years providing marketing and brand communications for a variety of clients. She is versed in writing and graphic design for both print and online publication. Her clientele ranged from land conservation and historic preservation non-profit organizations to transportation engineering consultants and commercial real estate developers. During this time she published two guide books, being responsible for copy editing, photography, layout, and illustration for a historic preservation organization; she also designed interpretive display panels for a newly opened historic building museum in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Before working as a freelance consultant, Ms. Burtner spent 15 years working in the public sector. As a planner she wrote comprehensive parks and recreation plans, historic preservation guidelines, façade improvement guidelines, and place-based marketing and promotional copy for scripts, brochures, and websites.
Ms. Burtner has served on numerous commissions and authorities, including the Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission, the Bethlehem Water Authority, and the Environmental Advisory Commission of Bethlehem. She is now a volunteer with the Bella Vista Neighbors Association in Philadelphia, PA providing print and web communication services.
Ms. Burtner has completed studies in design, creative writing, photography, and has been trained in Creative Suite applications.
