A dynamic and organized financial professional, Khalil Meggett has over 29 years of experience in management consulting, civil litigation, forensic accounting, operations, and accounting management. He earned his CPA license in 1993. Mr. Meggett has hands-on management ability in the development and implementation of strategic plans to enhance company growth. He is a strong leader with a proven ability to distill complex information into readily understandable language. An excellent verbal and written communicator, he possesses strong interpersonal skills.
In 2000 Mr. Meggett started Meggett Consulting, providing forensic, executive, and managerial financial consulting services. His consultancy conducts organizational needs assessments, identifying improvement opportunities, and developing corrective strategies. Mr. Meggett has served as the Vice President of Finance and Operations for the United Way of the Wine Country, Santa Rosa, California. In this position, he was responsible for financial management and operational functions of the five-county regional non-profit organization for Northwestern California. Before his move to the west coast, Mr. Meggett was the Chief Operating Officer of FutureNet, Inc., a Philadelphia-based firm, where he played a key role in developing the firm’s strategic vision, reduced costs, and enhanced profits. He instituted the firm’s first job cost tracking system which provided the ability to determine accurate overhead rates. He was a manager for the New Jersey Commerce Commission, selected to lead economic development efforts for the state’s business services sector. Early in his career, he quickly earned his way up from Staff Accountant to being appointed as the first-ever Chief Operating Officer of Milligan & Company, LLC, a regional accounting firm with headquarters in Philadelphia, PA.
Mr. Meggett has been a long-time member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. During his time in the Philadelphia area, he served as the Treasurer and a Board member of The Enterprise Center, and the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Philadelphia. He also served as the President of the Urban League Young Professionals of Philadelphia. He is currently a member of the Odd Fellows of Windsor. Khalil resides in Sonoma County, California and enjoys travel, being in nature, hiking and biking.
