Michael K. Pearson has deep company, private family, and private equity experience as a front-line P/L entrepreneurial leader. His firm, Michal K. Pearson Consulting, specializes in business strategy and operations, advising for-profit and nonprofit C-Suite decision makers in a diversity of industries.
Mr. Pearson has earned wide respect having more than 27 years of social entrepreneurial experience, driven by his personal ethos of giving back to the community, and working to instill those values in the business community. Believing that charitable giving is never an expense, he sees that support of programs for the vulnerable and underserved as economic development are investments in the nation’s future. As founder and CEO of Philadelphia-based Union Packaging, LLC. (UP), Mr. Pearson helmed the triple bottom-line UP until its sale in May 2019, to LBP Manufacturing LLC., a subsidiary of Pritzker Private Capital.
Mr. Pearson is a Partner of Iron Stone Real Estate Partners. Iron Stone is contrarian in acquisitions and opportunistic in dispositions. The culmination is an ability to execute on real estate ventures that yield elevated risk adjusted returns for investors while spurring innovation, growth, and vitality for the surrounding communities.
Mike also serves on the boards of Urban Engineers and Wash Cycle Laundry. He lives the ethos he preaches, instilling them through serving on boards throughout his career, including the Philadelphia Foundation, The Philadelphia Zoo, Philadelphia Health Management Corporation, Evident Change, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
