ESI Releases PECO Economic Impact Study

ESI, in conjunction with the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia, has released a study that examines the economic impacts PECO has on the Greater Philadelphia Region and the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The study that PECO supports significant economic activity within the Greater Philadelphia Region and the commonwealth of Pennsylvania through the company’s general operations, which include activities related to the transmission and distribution of electric and natural gas service.

Also noted in the study was that PECO’s economic activity also supported state and local government operations through the taxes paid by PECO and its employees or generated through the indirect and induced economic impacts of its spending.
