Econsult Solutions Files Chester’s Recovery Plan

Chester Pennsylvania LogoESI, the coordinator appointed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania under the Municipalities Financial Recovery Act (Act 47 of 1987, as amended) for the City of Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, has prepared an amended Recovery Plan regarding the coordination and relief of financial distress for the City of Chester, and is filing the Plan with appropriate officials of the City on Friday, July 15, 2016.

The Plan is open for public inspection, as of Friday, July 15, 2016, at the City Clerk’s Office in Chester City Hall, 1 Fourth Street, Chester, PA 19013, during normal business hours. The coordinator hereby invites written comments on the Plan from any and all persons and entities.

The Plan contains the background requirements of Act 47, a discussion of the financial problems experienced by the City, an analysis of specific areas examined, and a set of recommendations for implementation by the City.

Econsult Solutions Inc. will hold a public meeting on the Plan at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the Council Meeting Room in Chester City Hall, 1 Fourth Street, Chester, PA 19013.  The purpose of the public meeting is to receive public comments on the Plan.
