ESI Senior Advisor Bernard Anderson To Recieve UAC Living Legacy Award

ESI is proud to announce that its Senior Advisor, Bernard Anderson, is being honored by the Urban Affairs Coalition at their 47th Anniversary Breakfast. At the event, Dr. Anderson will be this year’s UAC Living Legacy Award Recipient. The award is inspired by State Representative Dwight Evans and is presented to a visionary of policy and a political leader in the community. Dr. Anderson is the 8th recipient of the annual Living Legacy Award for his great work alongside the coalition of improving life chances for youth and young adults living with HIV/AIDS, building wealth in urban communities and strengthening the nonprofit sector.

Dr. Anderson is currently a Professor of Economics at the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania where he has worked since 2001 after returning from serving for the Clinton Administration. He began his career as an economist for the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. Throughout his career, Dr. Anderson has authored six books and was a board member for the Black Enterprise Magazine. Prior to working under the Clinton Administration, Dr. Anderson was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as Assistant Secretary for the Employment Standards Administration within the U.S. Department of Labor.

The theme for the breakfast will be “Chaos or Community.” Along with Over 800 guests, ESI Principal and President Steve Mullin and Director of Business Development Benedicte Clouet will be in attendance to celebrate Dr. Anderson’s lifetime of transformative and honorable work.
