Amelia Marcantonio-Fields, M.C.P.

Amelia Marcantonio-Fields is a senior analyst at ESI and advises public and private organizations on the planning and implementation of economic development policies and projects. Amelia works primarily within the firm’s economic development, public policy, and real estate practices. She is highly skilled in quantitative and qualitative analyses that inform the development of innovative strategies to help communities across the country achieve their goals and is passionate about creating an inclusive, resilient, and vibrant society.

At ESI, Amelia specializes in conducting market and policy research and developing implementation-oriented economic development strategies that support both urban and rural communities as well as public and private institutions. She enjoys producing work that communicates the real value of investment with accessible narratives through visually engaging presentation. Amelia provides actionable guidance through client services, including strategic planning for nonprofits, creating workforce development strategies, quantifying the public benefit of green space, and drafting downtown revitalization plans.

Amelia contributes to market research, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, feasibility studies, and economic and fiscal impact analyses. She has applied these analyses to large-scale public investment projects on behalf of major organizations.

Amelia holds a Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College. Prior to joining the firm, she worked in applied economic development research at HR&A Advisors, Social Explorer, Barnard College of Columbia University, and Columbia University. Amelia is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and serves on the Board of Directors for Re-Member, an independent nonprofit dedicated to serving the Oglala Lakota people of the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.
