Background & experience
Lucie Doran is a senior analyst at Econsult Solutions, Inc (ESI). Lucie’s work focuses on economic impact studies at multiple scales for clients including universities, hospitals, and developers, among other industries. These analyses help clients to quantify their impact on local and regional economies and are often used to secure funding and make the case for the many societal benefits their institutions support.
In addition to her experience within the firm’s economic development practice, Lucie has assisted clients in winning critical funds for their organizations through both state and federal grant programs. In particular, she has completed numerous applications for the Pennsylvania Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) that provides capital funds to projects that promote economic development and job creation in the Commonwealth. She also has experience with federal U.S. DOT grant applications and the benefit-cost analysis component that quantifies the community, environmental, and other associated benefits each project creates.
Lucie has also contributed to Present Value, ESI’s blog, writing on topics that inform broad disciplinary methods and solutions. Her work has covered equitable economic development and competitiveness, measuring diversity in higher education, and highlighting project work completed for the City of Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker’s “Clean, Green, and Safe” initiative.
Lucie worked as a research assistant at ESI prior to joining the firm as a full-time analyst. A graduate of Drexel University, she earned bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and economics and received Magna Cum Laude honors.
